RAINBOW Bay is the location for Australia's biggest ever prize home, with the BoysTown charity lottery announcing a $2.5 million prize package.

BoysTown's fundraising manager Keith Coventry believes the penthouse is the most valuable single prize home offered in Australia.

“It is not every day that a $2.5 million prize home is offered for just $15,” he said.

Proceeds raised will help improve the online crisis counselling service offered by Kids Helpline.

“We are hoping this draw will attract record interest and in turn raise funds to help disadvantaged children, young people and families in need,” Mr Coventry said.

The two-storey penthouse is fully furnished and styled by Gold Coast designer Glenn Allen.

“The ocean views are absolutely spectacular there, even on its worst days Rainbow Bay has beautiful aqua waters, and that's what inspired my colour scheme,” Mr Allen said.

Located at Penthouse 9, 11 Eden Avenue, Rainbow Bay, the home is open for ticket sales and viewing until Monday, December 20.
