Boy injured in farm incident recovering in hospital

UPDATE: A boy injured in a farming incident west of Toowoomba this morning is recovering in hospital.

Intensive care paramedics transported the seven-year-old boy by road to the Toowoomba Hospital after he was injured in an incident on a property on Oakey-Pittsworth Rd just after 9am today.

Emergency services initially reported the boy had been run over by a tractor, however the boy's mother has since said that was not the case.

The boy was treated in hospital for fractures to his lower left leg as a result of the incident.

10AM: A boy reportedly run over by a tractor is being treated for lower leg fractures at the scene of the incident.

Paramedics and other emergency services are on scene of the incident at a private property on Oakey-Pittsworth Rd near Oakey.

The seven-year-old boy has sustained fractures to his lower left leg and will be transported to hospital.

EARLIER: A child has reportedly been struck by a tractor west of Toowoomba this morning.

Emergency services are on their way to the incident on Oakey-Pittsworth Rd near Oakey.

The child, believed to be a seven-year-old boy, is understood to have suffered serious injuries.

Emergency services are en route.
