STUDENTS at Whitsunday Christian College were acknowledged for their hard work in the classroom and out in the field at the school's annual awards night last Wednesday.

Selected students from grades in the junior, middle and senior schools took out the top six awards under the categories of arts, academic, character, diligence, sportsman and woman. Year 12 student Stephanie Davison's hard work this year paid off when she was awarded the Dawson Medal, Caltex Best All-rounder award, Senior Dux and Principal's Character award.

Mitchell Hales was named the Sportsman of the Year and Joy Steven was given the Australian Spirit award.

Hema Supramaniam took out the Middle School Boyd Grace Encouragement award, Xinyan Dunlop was named Middle School Dux and Jackson Cameron the Junior Dux.
