SOAPBOX: What's going on behind the gates Mr Palmer?
CLIVE Palmer has resorted (excuse the pun) to personal attacks instead of answering questions as to what he has planned for his Coolum resort.
For two weeks, the Daily has been trying to get answers from Mr Palmer as to where the proposed refurbishment of the Palmer Coolum Resort is at.
It's not an unreasonable question. When the resort shut its gates in March, general manager Simon Stodart said the resort would be undergoing a refurbishment.
That was two months ago and little appears to be happening within the confines of the once jewel in the crown of Coolum.
His short response was simply he had "no idea", he was retired from business as he was now an MP.
I asked the same question to Mr Stodart who referred me to Mr Palmer's media advisor, Andrew Crook, whom I tried to telephone and sent a list of questions.
I never heard from Mr Crook, but within hours was alerted to a tweet from Mr Palmer to his 63,000 followers on Twitter.
"The Daily journalist Kathy Sundstrom is cynical, anti-progressive and agenda driven for self-interests," he wrote.

I'm not sure what my "agenda" of self-interest is, he didn't explain, but perhaps because I live in Coolum he feels I have some of conflict of interest? His interesting tweet is an obvious detraction from the question he won't answer.
But the need for him to get to the point is even more apparent after the "retired businessman" announced his multi-million dollar plans for his Gold Coast golf course this week.
