CMC probe almost over

THE Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC) investigation into Whitsunday Mayor Mike Brunker is in the process of being finalised.

A spokesperson for the CMC said an outcome on the investigation would not be far away but he was unable to give a timewhen it would be completed.

However, Mr Brunker is not holding his breath.

“They have been saying that since Christmas,” he said.

“I hope they are right and we can all move on from it sooner rather than later.”
