Coast DJ to light up Mama Africa

GOLD Coast DJ Queen Victoria will be hitting a different beach when she plays at Airlie's Mama Africa this Saturday.

From Ibiza to Vegas, Queen Victoria has played all over the globe at festivals such as Stereosonic, Future Music Festival and Summafieldayze alongside some of the biggest names on the house scene like Calvin Harris and Tiesto.

Mama Africa's owner Stacy Harvey said it would be a chance to enjoy the last Saturday night before the new licensing laws kicked in.

"It will be a massive night in Airlie," she said.

"She's (Queen Victoria) got a really big following on the Gold Coast. Her style will really suit the music of the Airlie Beach crowd."

The DJ is known for her electrifying blend of deep, tech, bass house shows.

With a number of charting hits, 2016 is set to be a busy year for Queen Victoria as she continues to make a big splash around the world with her new track 'Down', remixed by Stonebridge, reaching number 2 on the Dance World Radio House Chart.

Mama Africa has planned a massive weekend to bring in the last of the 5am closures with the new laws kicking in on July 1. The actual final night of partying until dawn will be on Wednesday, June 29 with Mama Africa hosting The Last Stand Party with North Queensland club duo Sugar Monke Posses.

Everyone will be welcome to party until 5am followed by breakfast at the Lagoon Bar. Supported by Airlie's own Little Miss DJ and Hot Youngster Spinnafex, Saturday will be a night to remember.
