Comedy fans in for some laughs

Looking for an action film with a hint of comedy? Then take a seat at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre for the eagerly awaited Central Intelligence.

Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, the film stars Dwayne (the Rock) Johnson and the hilarious Kevin Hart.

If you're already a fan of Johnson or Hart, chances are you will love this film.

Opening with a prologue set in 1996, an obese high school student (Johnson) is the victim of a cruel senior prank and the only one who stands up for him is the most popular kid in school (Hart).

Twenty years later, the two characters reconnect after a Facebook ad.

Both have led incredibly different lives since their high school days - Hart is an accountant and Johnson, a CIA agent.

It's the perfect tale of a mild-mannered guy who is dragged against his will into life-threatening scenarios that he cannot stand and is not at all equipped to deal with at the hands of a guy who is probably not to be trusted.

Hart and Johnson work up a comic chemistry together that can only be described as "magic" and despite not usually seeing the pair together on screen, their styles compliment each other perfectly.

The film has a mix of action and comedy so it's a film for pretty much everyone.

The story of an unlikely friendship will provide audiences with two hours of silly and enjoyable entertainment.
