Countdown on to Grease at St Cath's
FANS of 1950s pop culture will be circling dates in their calender this month.
The hit musical, Grease, will grace the stage at the St Catherine's Catholic College for three special performances.
The musical is an adaptation of the blockbuster film made famous by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.
The students have literally brushed aside the wreckage, of Cyclone Debbie and have committed long hours to rehearsal.
And this Friday the curtain will open at the Manresa campus stage to cheers from parents, staff members and the community of Proserpine.
Senior drama coordinator Besty Atkinson had a strong belief that in the wake of Cyclone Debbie the show wouldn't go on.
However, the school has rallied and is proud to see three shows will go ahead as planned.
