MORNING traffic in the Whitsundays was disrupted between 6.30am and 8am this morning (Thursday) as emergency services attended to a three vehicle crash at the intersection of Shute Harbour and Gregory-Cannonvalley Roads.

Thankfully, passengers in each of the cars involved walked away from the crash largely unscathed with two ute passengers causing paramedics at the scene most concern.

Both passengers were wearing seatbelts and suffered only minor injuries from the impact but after they were assessed at the scene, neither was taken to hospital.

A campervan was tipped on its side in the impact, giving the crash scene a spectacular look to motorists who were temporarily stopped as a tow truck took away the vehicles involved.

However, both passengers in the van - two Danish tourists - walked away uninjured.

A police investigation into the crash is ongoing with the cause currently unknown.
