
Man taken to hospital after car and truck crash near Bowen
UPDATE 4PM: A MAN has been taken to Bowen Hospital in a stable condition after a crash between a car and truck.
Emergency services were called to the crash on the Bruce Highway north of Bowen about 2.30pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said crews transported one man to Bowen Hospital who was suffering neck and leg pain.
She said no one else involved in the crash was taken to hospital.
INITIAL: Emergency services are on scene at a crash between a truck and a car north of Bowen.
A Queensland Police spokesman said crews were called to the crash just before 2.30pm.
He said the crash was about 15 minutes north of Bowen on the Bruce Highway.
The spokesman said initial reports showed there were no serious injuries as a result of the crash.
It was not clear how many occupants were in each vehicle.
