'That's a knife': Paul Hogan takes burger chain to court

'THAT'S not a lawsuit, that's a lawsuit.'

Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan has launched legal action against burger chain Grill'd after the company began using a famous line from the movie in their restaurants.

Grill'd has been using the catchcry "That's not a knife, that's a knife" - spoken by Hogan's character, Mick Dundee, in one of the film's iconic scenes - on cutlery sleeves distributed in restaurants.

However, similar to the iconic scene, Hogan refuses to be cowered and has brandished the bigger weapon.

Hogan, in Federal Court, alleges that Grill'd has made a false or misleading representation that the use of the quote is endorsed by him or by his company, Rimfire Films, as reported in The Australian.

Paul Hogan is suing burger chain Grill'd over the use of his catchphrase on their cutlery.

The 78-year-old Hogan is seeking an injunction and damages.

"The respondent threatens to continue to engage in the conduct complained of in this statement of claim, with the result that the applicants are likely to suffer further loss and damage, unless the respondent is restrained," Hogan said in a statement of claim filed last week.
