Cutters chop C’Boys

A QUALITY under-20 Cowboys squad had a long trip back to Townsville on Saturday after a dramatic loss to the Mackay Cutters.

At half time the Cowboys looked to have the game sewn up. They dominated field position and were leading on the score board eight points to nil.

The second half saw a different Cutters team take to the field.

The Cutters put on 26 unanswered points, with the Cowboys then getting a consolation try just on the siren to make the final score 26 to 14.

Proserpine Brahmans' player Isaac Richardson was on the winning team and spoke about his experience. "It was pretty good to get one over them. We have never beaten them before," he said.

The Cutters will play the Central Queensland Capras in the third trial game of their pre-season on February 20 in Rockhampton.
