Daydream Island brings sexy back
A WEDDING on Daydream Island was featured on the reality television show Bringing Sexy Back on Channel Seven, Tuesday night.
The reality television show features the incredible transformations of ordinary Australians after making the decision to improve their health and fitness.
Tuesday night's episode featured Sunshine Coast pizza chef Livio Caldarone who gained 40kg in just two years.
Suffering from low self-esteem and fearful of his health, Mr Caldarone held off on committing to a wedding date to his fiancé and mother to his two children, Holly.
After five months of exercise and healthy eating, Mr Caldarone travelled to Daydream Island where he unveiled his transformation and 33kg weight loss to his family, friends and the rest of Australia on national television.
The couple were then married on Lovers Cove which is one of the most exclusive and private locations on Daydream Island.
Daydream Island Resort and Spa's chief executive officer Scott Wilkinson said months of planning and preparation went into the episode and he was delighted the island was chosen for Mr Caldarone's wedding and weight-loss reveal.
"We're thrilled that we could be part of this life-changing moment for Livio. Daydream was the perfect backdrop for them and their family and friends who all contributed to a special experience," he said.
Not only did Daydream host the wedding party on the island but also hosted up to 34 Seven network crew members and high profile host Samantha Armytage, personal trainer Cameron Byrnes and stylist Jules Sebastian.
Mr Caldarone's was amazed by the location and said he had the wedding of his dreams. "Daydream was the perfect place for a reveal and I felt like a superstar," he said.
