Daylight savings not fun and games if you have little kids
DEAR daylight savings,
You have been in my life for two weeks and already I want you gone.
For someone with little kids, you've thrown a complete spanner in our routine works.
What was a 5.30pm bath time is now 6.30.
What was a 6pm dinner time is now 7.
What was a 7.30pm bed time is now 8.30 - often 9.
The issue is, our bodies are still working off our regular routine.
When we should be having a bath we now need to be eating dinner and when we should be eating dinner we now need to be in bed.
I expected it would take a week or so to adjust to the hour difference but we haven't.
And worse still, I know we have the readjustment in six months time to look forward to. Goodie.
You're like cutting off the end of a sheet to sew onto the other end. Pointless.
A former Queenslander I'm with the Sunshine State. You can keep your extra hour of sunlight. And I'll keep our regular routines.
Are you struggling to get your kids to adjust to the hour difference?
