Detectives probe terrifying armed home invasion

POLICE are investigating an alleged violent home invasion after a man fled into the street from two men, believed to be armed with guns.

Several police units swooped on Farrer St in Cranley, in Toowoomba's north-west, about 3am on Tuesday.

A man had run onto the quiet street, raising the alarm with neighbours, demanding they call police after two men allegedly stormed his house.

It is believed they were armed with firearms but police, who are awaiting an official statement from the alleged victim, were unable to verify the reports.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
