Div 5 claims first place

BOWLS:

Ladies Bowls On Wednesday, our Pennants team travelled to North Mackay.

The result gave Proserpine 26 to North Mackay's 55 meaning no match points minus 29.

Thursday was another trip away to Northern Beaches. Heather Brown's team was defeated 11 - 26 and Joan McGrath's team were defeated 7 - 35.

This gave Proserpine no Match points minus 43.

On Wednesday, the Consistency Singles match of Jo Peasley v Norma Daniels was played. At the completion of 21 ends, the score was tied at 105 all.

This tie was broken with an extra end and Norma Daniels won 111 - 109.

On Sunday afternoon a game of Club Championship Pairs was played. Dot Hinschen and Lois Read defeated Norma Daniels and Joan McGrath 20 - 14.

Dot and Lois go on to play June Blair and Heather Brown on Sunday, July 19. A game of Consistency Singles are set down to be played on Wednesday, July 15 - Lillian Harris v Vicki Spann, marker Wendy Pomeroy.

This Wednesday, July 8 - is Patroness and Life Member Flo O'Hanlon's sponsored day. There is a committee meeting also at 10am.

Proserpine Bowls Club

Saturday was the last round of Pennants for the men in 2015. Division 1 played Sarina at Proserpine.

The results gave Proserpine the entire 5 match points plus the margin of 20.

Division 5 played their final game at Seaforth. The result gave Proserpine a total of 69 to Seaforth's 48, giving Proserpine the maximum of 5 match points plus a margin of 21. This game secured the first place position for Proserpine's Division 5 team.

On Saturday, July 11, at 10am there will be the Semi Finals of the Club Championship Singles.
