IT'S just about every girl's dream to be a model, but 14-year-old Eternity Burr no longer needs to dream about it.

Eternity recently represented the Sunshine Coast at the Miss Teen Australia Queensland state finals where she was named the People's Choice Junior winner and the overall national People's Choice winner for 2015.

She has just heard she has been given a wildcard into the international contest in Fiji.

With the international competition just around the corner Eternity desperately needs to find a sponsor, a $450 entry fee and raise money for flights to Fiji.

The Miss Teen Australia is the largest teen beauty pageant in the southern hemisphere. It's just under two weeks before Eternity walks the runway in Sydney and she can hardly contain her excitement.

"I can't wait to go to Sydney," she said. "I'm just so honoured, I can't believe it.I was a bit shocked when I got so many votes. I was just going in it to see what it was like to make a platform and make friends. I can't believe I got into the nationals. It's still a bit out of this world."

The Miss Teen Australia is Eternity's first modelling competition.

"I was a little bit nervous and excited I'd never walked down a catwalk before," she said.

The James Nash High student has had no problems juggling modelling, school and a social life.

"My grades are really good, I get to hang out with friends and I do a lot of volunteering," she said.

At the recent James Nash High awards night, the University of the Sunshine Coast presented Eternity with a Junior Citizenship Award. She also took home a Cultural Award and the Top Citizen award from the night.

Eternity hopes to continue her career in modelling and see where it takes her. But it's not her only career goal: she wants to pursue a career as a cataract surgeon for animals.
