Dreams of clean seas
WHITSUNDAY residents have the opportunity to give the turtles of our region the ultimate Christmas present, by voting for Eco Barge Clean Seas in the SunSuper Dreams for a Better World competition.
Eco Barge is coming second in the public voting round, and has the chance to win $5000.
"It's absolutely amazing that we're coming in second, as we're up against some big name not-for-profits," Eco Barge chairwoman and founder Libby Edge said.
"The support from the community has been great, we're only 90 votes behind the leading charity."
It takes just 30 seconds to vote, "and by doing so you will be ensuring a better future for the turtles of Mackay and the Whitsundays," Ms Edge said.
"Voting closes on December 20, so please give our sick and injured turtles the best Christmas present ever, by voting for Eco Barge."
