THE BUNNING'S Mad Scientists Relay For Life team are rolling out the red carpet for their Relay For Life ball and charity auction, on Saturday June 4 from 6pm-11pm at the BIG4 Whitsunday Adventure Resort.

Team member Ivan Conway said the prizes being auctioned were donated by members of the community.

"We have some brilliant prizes up for auction but our major prize is seven nights at the Bluewater Apartments on Hamilton Island," he said.

Fellow team member Maureen Conway said this would be in a three bedroom apartment.

"That's a three Bedroom self-contained apartment, with a buggy, and to go with it Cruise Whitsundays have given us a transfer's from Airlie Beach to Hamilton Island for a family of four," she said

"That's the biggie but we have other excellent prizes as well. The community has been very generous and supportive."

Other prizes include a Tiger Moth Adventures aerobatic flight, an Aqua Bus Tours Airlie Beach family pass and a 60-minute Reef and Island flight with GSL Aviation.

Mr Conway said they wanted to do one major event so people could dress up, go out for the night and do something they may not always do.

"The event will start with a red carpet arrival, with Sue Considine taking photos of people as they arrive," he said.

"Brad Sobitt from PRD Nationwide will be auctioneering on the night and Continental Drift is our entertainment for the night."

If you would like to purchase a ticket to this ($80 per person) phone Ivan or Maureen Conway on 0419 799 401

Due to catering reasons people have until this 8am this Monday to purchase a ticket.
