Drink driver caught at nearly four times the limit
DRUNK, unlicensed and on the road at 7.30am.
A 37-year-old driver returned a breath test at nearly four times the legal limit after crashing his car into a ditch at Childers.
Police were advised that the man's car had run off the side of Butchers Rd about 7.30am Thursday.
The Hervey Bay man initially refused to provide a roadside breath sample but after being arrested and taken to Childers Police Station returned a reading of 0.199%.
The man was charged with failing to provide a breath sample, drink driving and unlicensed driving.
He will face Childers Magistrates Court next month.
