Driver crawls clear of overturned ute after crash

A WITNESS called police after they saw a ute being driven along a country road flip over and land on its roof.

Police said the white Holden Commodore ute with a 38-year-old man at the wheel overturned on Zabels Rd, Minden, about 5.30pm Wednesday.

A police spokesman said someone called police after seeing the vehicle turn over.

"The caller said the ute came down the road and flipped over," the spokesman said.

He said the man crawled out of his upside-down ute on his own.

"He had minor injuries but requested he be checked out by QAS paramedics," he said.

He said the scene of the crash was cleared by 7.30pm. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
