Driver taken to hospital after car hits kangaroo on highway

A MALE driver has been transported to Gladstone hospital this morning after a kangaroo collided with his car on the Bruce Highway near Mt Larcom.

Queensland Ambulance Service reported the collision happened at 5.17am.

A QAS spokesperson said the patient was in a stable condition with minor injuries.

Queensland Police Service said the highway is re-opened and traffic is moving regularly again.
