Drug trafficking arrest after man found at boat ramp

DETECTIVES from the Coomera Criminal Investigation Branch have arrested a man over the weekend in relation to drug trafficking on the Gold Coast.

It will be alleged police located the man in a car at Jabiru boat ramp off Oxley Drive at Runaway Bay at 9.30am on Saturday July 4, 2015.

At the time he was allegedly in possession of cash and the drug crystal methamphetamine.

A 35-year-old Coombabah man has been charged with trafficking of a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug, possess anything used in the commission of a crime, possess utensils, receive and possess property obtained from trafficking and disqualified driving.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today, Monday July 6, 2015.
