Police release image in relation to sexual assault

UPDATE:

MACKAY police say it's important residents come forward with any information that could lead to the early arrest of a young man who sexually assaulted an 80-year-old woman at her Slade Point home on Monday night.

Detective inspector Karyn Murphy said it was very rare for such a sex assault to occur.

It happened in the woman's yard as she returned from a walk with her dog.

Luckily the woman was able to escape from her attacker and get help.

She suffered bruising in the attack.

Mackay police have released a Comfit of the man wanted for questioning.

He is described as Caucasian, with long hair and aged in his 20s.
