Family fun at Dingo Beach
THE WHITSUNDAYS' most-loved family fun day is back for 2015.
The Lions Dingo Beach Family Whitfunday kicks off at 10am this Sunday, when market stalls and the registration for the annual $1000 lucky draw opens.
Food and drinks, seafood raffles, the Lion's Licensed Bar, show rides, raffles, and more than 50 stalls will be on offer throughout the day.
Dingo Beach Progress Association member Duncan Robb said the sideshow would include a number of new, exciting rides that were being introduced this year.
For the artistically minded families, registration for the sand sculpting competition opens at 11.15am, with the competition beginning at noon.
If you're keen to put your skills the test, the cast net throwing competition kicks off at 11.30am with the rolling pin throwing competition at 12.30pm.
At 1.30pm, Lindsay Campbell will conduct the Jack and Jill crosscut saw competition.
If by this stage the kids are still full of energy, the children's beach races take place at 2.30pm, followed closely by the drawing of the $1000 lucky draw prize.
"It's a very family orientated day," Mr Robb said.
"Don't forget - if the weather's bad in town, it's always good out here."
Entry is free.
