Family searching for missing man

THE family of a Victorian man who went missing in July last year believe he may now be living in southern Queensland.

Daniel James O'Keeffe went missing from his Geelong home six months ago and the family has just received information he could be living somewhere in south-east Queensland.

Nicole Morris from the Australian Missing Persons Register, based in Crows Nest, said the O'Keeffe family believe Mr O'Keeffe may even be living in the Toowoomba area.

"Apparently with this sighting the people spoke to him and they were able to give details the family felt was specific," Ms Morris said.

In Australia, 35,000 people go missing every year, or one every 15 minutes.

Anyone with information about Mr O'Keeffe's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Australian Missing Persons Register at www.australianmissingpersonsregister.com.
