An Insta-famous Brisbane barber who is charged with cocaine trafficking has taken to his favourite social media site to defend himself and his three barber shop businesses.

Michael Anthony Langanis was released from Brisbane watch-house on Saturday, after spending a night in custody, charged with trafficking cocaine between July and December.

He walked out on bail, still sporting styled hair with blonde highlights and wearing a designer shoulder bag, hopping into a waiting car with family, after telling media he would defend the charges.

Langanis's mother and sister were at court for his appearance via video from the watch-house.

Langanis, who owns lucrative barber shops in Brisbane city, Teneriffe and West End, is also charged with 11 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, five counts of drug possession, tax-related fraud, uttering a forged document and common assault.

Since his release, Langanis, 25, of Newstead, has put out a message to his Langanis Barber clients on Instagram, saying: "Hey guys, My team and I have received a lot of false accusations.

"I want to say thankyou (sic) to our family, friends and customers for there (sic) ongoing support through these times.

"I have nothing to hide and will confidently be fighting all charges.

"For anyone who knows myself and my team, I know (they) would vouch for how hard we work to have taken @Langanis Barber to where it is today.

"If anyone thinks otherwise than they have been miss led (sic) by media.

"We won't be effected by this and it only drives us to push even harder.''

Langanis, who is facing 26 charges, has more than 4000 followers on Instagram.

His photos show him posing with flash cars attractive women, in designer clothes and Gucci shopping bags, "chilling'' in a jacuzzi and at his barber shops with his signature styled big hair.

Langanis's lawyer Corey Cullen told the court on Saturday that his businesses grossed a million dollars a year in income.

The magistrate said there was strong evidence from covert surveillance, human sources and phone intercepts.

It is alleged that Langanis arranged for the sale of drugs to covert police who came into his business.

Magistrate Anthony Gett said police alleged Langanis supplied illicit drugs, including cocaine, using or involving his barber shop businesses.

He is one of five people charged with cocaine trafficking, and among 37 charged with 215 offences, as a result of Operation Sierra Gypsy.

Barber Giovanni Genuario, who works for a separate Kelvin Grove barber shop, and factory worker, Benjamin Wheeler, who was said to be a client of Langanis, also are charged with trafficking.

Another barber from the Kelvin Grove business that was raided by police, Shane Ederesi Allan Griffin, pleaded guilty to cocaine possession and possession of a phone used for a drug offence.

Griffin, who was convicted and fined $950, told police he used the mobile phone to buy drugs from "Gio''.

Langanis was released on bail, with conditions, after his family provided a $20,000 surety. Wheeler also was released on bail, with conditions. Genuario did not apply for bail.
