'Friendly-faced' crash victim will be missed by community

THE cause of a single-vehicle rollover which killed an 81-year-old man remains under investigation.

Coominya man Brian Ryan died at the scene of the crash on Rocky Gully Rd despite the best efforts of emergency services responders.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators yesterday were working to determine what caused the single vehicle to leave the rural road, north-east of Gatton, about 4.40pm Monday.

His silver sedan was found rolled on its roof by passers-by who reported the crash to emergency services.

Mr Ryan has been remembered as a friendly face in the Coominya community who will be missed.

"Thanks for the waves to me as you have gone by here and the times we talked," a friend posted on social media.

Anyone with information relating to the crash is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.
