A POPULAR cafe in town closed its doors before Christmas, originally just for the holidays, but they have decided to not re-open. The brunch destination, Espresso Garden, connected to Calligan's Nursery in Andergrove closed "due to circumstances out of our control”, according to the cafes Facebook page.

Nursery owner Sheree Jokovich said the cafe "was very popular within the local area.

She said she believed the cafe owners were going to focus on their other store in Sydney St. "People come have coffee, something to eat and will walk through the nursery and have a look,” she said.

But the cafe would re-open soon, she said.

"Several people have been asking and are interested,” adding the nursery and cafe went hand in hand. "We are working with people interested in re-opening it so hopefully by the end of January.”
