Festival stars to bring the laughs

IF YOU'RE in need of a laugh, then you're in luck.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is the biggest comedy festival in Australia and their roadshow is about to arrive in Proserpine.

Featuring some of the best home-grown local talent and international superstars from this year's festival, the roadshow will be heading to over 80 destinations across Australia and beyond one city at a time

The Whitsundays is set to be treated to five comedians including MC and Australian stalwart Dave Callan and up and comer and festival staple Andy Saunders.

They'll be joined by a couple of international stars in the UK's Carl Donnelly, India's Daniel Fernandes and Singaporean stand up Sharul Channa.

Originally scheduled for the Proserpine Entertainment Centre, the venue has had to change to the Proserpine RSL but all purchased tickets will be honoured. Tickets can still be purchased by contacting the Proserpine Entertainment Centre.

The organisers would like to warn that performances often contain coarse language, sexual references and material that can offend and is recommended for people aged 15 and up.

Stand up comedy doesn't come to the Whitsundays often and you don't want to miss your chance to see some of the highest quality comedians in the world in Proserpine.
