ZSA Zsa Gabor has gone home for her final days.

The 93-year-old actress - who was given her last rites in hospital at her own request - has reportedly insisted she does not want to undergo any more surgical procedures following treatment at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles and returned to her Bel Air house on 16 August.

Medics had wanted to perform liver surgery that would give her a 50-50 chance of survival, but the veteran star and her husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt agreed to turn down the risky operation.

Her husband said: "The doctors did everything they could do. The rest is up to her to whether she recovers or not."

He also reported she had been in and out of consciousness and barely able to talk.

Publicist John Blanchette added: "She had a great run. She's 93. She knew five presidents. She knew kings and queens, celebrities."

Hungarian-born Zsa Zsa had complications following a fall out of her bed in June while watching TV show 'Jeopardy'.

She was taken to hospital to undergo hip replacement surgery and was believed to be getting better, but had to be readmitted when doctors discovered blood clots - one of which was close to her heart.

The nine-times wed actress' health has been deteriorating for many years - in 2002 she was partially paralysed following a car accident and has needed to use a wheelchair since.
