Food made fun

WHAT if there was a way to get kids excited about eating healthy?

There might just be thanks to Bel and Israel Smith who are bringing their A Mad Food Science program to Airlie Beach this weekend.

If you recognise Bel's friendly face, that's because she's appeared on Channel 7's Sunrise to promote healthy eating.

The couple's business, The Root Cause, educates families about healthy eating in the most exciting way possible.

"The program is going to teach families what the main difference is between real and packaged food," Israel said.

"We want to teach them why it's important to fill their plates and lunchboxes with foods like fruit and vegetables."
