RUGBY LEAGUE: This weekend won't be the first time that Nathan Hindmarsh has stepped foot in the Whitsundays.

"It was stinking hot," he said.

"It was on houseboat with a bunch of rugby league players - if you call that a holiday."

The weather will be a bit cooler this weekend as Bryan Fletcher joins Hindmarsh as part of the Fletch and Hindy Show at Whitsunday PCYC.

"Be prepared for anything," Hindmarsh said.

"It's a bit of fun, it's a laugh.

"We're not afraid to use colorful langauge.

"We have a chat, obviously we take questions from the audience.

"It's always fun, you never know what you're going to get.

"Sometimes we get questions on a serious line but mostly we enjoy a laugh. People like to know how we started off, if me and Fletch are friends. It's very casual."

The duo have taken their show on the road across regional parts of Australia in an effort to raise money and support grassroots footy.

"We ask people to dig deep, we try to raise as much money as we can," Hindmarsh said.

Proceeds from the night will go towards the Whitsunday Brahmans with organisers calling it their biggest fundraiser of the year.

Brahmans spokesperson Paul Maxwell said it was the support of the community that made the club a success.

"As every other club in our region has a licensed league's club to fall back on, we are fortunate to have so many supportive sponsors and a local community that loves their rugby league," he said.

Maxwell said the duo would be coming deep into Queensland territory, but it didn't phase the former Blues players.

"It doesn't bother me one bit," Hindmarsh said.

It seems like banter will play a big part on the night with Brahmans manager Bryce Fraser also getting a jibe in.

"It will be a night full of laughs and you'll hear tales of all of the Premierships Nathan Hindmarsh has[n't] won," he said.

The Fletch and Hindy Show is on this Saturday, July 9 at 6.30pm at the PCYC.

Anyone who is interested in coming along is urged to get in early with tickets available online at www.whitsundaytickets. com.au.
