Former ambulance officer jailed for possessing child porn

A FORMER Stanthorpe ambulance officer has been sentenced to 18 months jail for child pornography offences.

William James Martin, 52, will spend at least the next three months behind bars after pleading guilty to three charges in the Toowoomba District Court yesterday.  

Martin, the former Officer in Charge of Stanthorpe Ambulance Station pleaded guilty to one count of using the internet to access child porn material and two counts of possessing child exploitation material.

Martin was placed on a bond of $200 for two years and forfeited his computer to the crown.
