Fresh faces step up to lead school

THE torch of student leadership has been passed at Proserpine State High School. School captain for 2016 Adam Farrell gave us an insight into his decision to run for the role.

"In primary school I neglected the opportunity to go for school captain and I always regretted it," he said.

"So I've always wanted to give it a shot."

Fellow captain Jessica Muller said she had also missed the top job in primary school.

"It was cool because I was house captain, but now I really want to do school captain and lead the school," she said.

"We want to continue that positive relationship with the community."

Vice-captains Logan Donadelli and Sharie Borellini said the student leadership team would be looking to create an inclusive spirit in 2016.

"We want to bring the seniors and the juniors together more since we have grade seven now," Ms Borellini said.

"That school spirit has been the goal of the last two leadership pools as well," Mr Donadelli added.

"We work with the student council and we'll just keep doing that, especially now we've got grade sevens in the school."
