Fundraiser this Friday night

A FUNDRAISER will be held at Banjos this Friday night for young Connor McLeod who lost his father Lindsay McLeod last week.

Lindsay, 35, moved to the Whitsundays seven years ago and was a regular guest at Banjos Bar and Bistro in Cannonvale.

He died suddenly last week and Banjos is organising a fundraiser for his ten year old son, Connor.

Connor is now in Brisbane with his mother.

Banjos owner Jason Cutler and manager Melissa Phillips have been in touch with Lindsay's sisters, Melissa Stone and Kylie Goodwin, to organise the fundraiser.

Money raised on Friday night, plus bar tips and other funds collected in tins at the hotel, will go into a trust fund.

When Connor is 18, he will be able to access the money.

Local businesses have donated hampers to be raffled on Friday night, with the proceeds going to Connor's trust. The fundraiser starts at 6pm.
