Funeral for Blackwater miner next week in Rockhampton

FAMILY and friends of Glenn "Flatty" Miller will gather at the East Chapel, Rockhampton Crematorium, on the corner of Richardson and Yaamba Rds on Saturday, June 27, at noon to say their final goodbyes.

The 55-year-old Blackwater miner was killed in a tragic motorbike accident on Ardurad Rd on his way home from work at the BMA North mine site on Saturday night.

All relatives and friends of Mr Miller are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service.

A funeral notice on a tribute page for Mr Miller said the family requested an early arrival for the creation of an honour guard before the service.

Tributes for the much-loved Mr Miller are flowing on social media after a Facebook page titled RIP Flatty - Glenn Miller, was created to celebrate his life and pay tribute to him and his family.

A memorial has also been erected along the Blackwater-Rolleston Rd.
