Generating a quick road-side sale

THE power is out and people are lining up for hours to provide power for their families.

Petrol powered generators are at a premium.

It is no surprise then when an enterprising guy named Paul Geraghty stood by the side of Shute harbour Rd with a generator at his feet and a sign that read "generator 4 sale” that his little gem was quickly snapped up.

Mr Geraghty said he got the generator from a boat and wasted no time plugging in his phone to show that it worked to a passing motorist who wasn't going to pass up the $500 opportunity.
