Police have charged a couple over the alleged torture of a teenager.
Police have charged a couple over the alleged torture of a teenager.

A TEENAGE girl endured  a night of horror where she was allegedly bound to a bed and repeatedly raped, tortured, drugged and sodomised for hours by her captors, police say.

The 13-year-old girl was taken to an address near Woodford, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, on Friday afternoon at about 5pm.

It is there that police will allege a knife was pulled to the girl’s throat, before she was taken to a bedroom and repeatedly sexually assaulted.

She was returned to her parent’s address at 9.30am on Saturday morning.

The teenager was taken to Caboolture Hospital just after 12noon on Saturday.

Police arrested a man and woman at about 4pm later that day.

News of the arrest was not released by police media until late Sunday night.

A 40-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman have been charged with a range of offences including attempted murder, torture, sexual assault, deprivation of liberty and threatening violence.

The couple did not appear at Caboolture Magistrates Court this morning but have been remanded in custody until May 17.

Prosecutor David Bradley told the court today the prosecution would seek to have the case heard in a closed court.
