Girven's boyfriend charged with murder

THE boyfriend of strangled Brisbane mother Bianca Girven has been charged with her murder.

Rhys Austin, 22, was charged with one count of murder today.

Ms Girven, 22, was found unconscious in a white van parked outside the home of Austin’s Suncroft Street home in Mount Gravatt on Brisbane’s southside late on March 30.

The pair had been at a romantic spot at the base of Mount Gravatt Lookout just several hours before Ms Girven was found in the van.

Her injuries were so severe, she died in hospital the following day.

Austin last week voluntarily met with police, accompanied by his mother.
