Going pink for a good cause

CRICKET: The juniors made their contribution to the Glenn McGrath Foundation during a inter-town twenty20 tournament last weekend.

This weekend it's the senior teams who will be digging deep for the charity through the annual Pink Stumps Day matches.

The McGrath Foundation aims to make life that little bit easier for individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.

The foundation raises money to place specialist McGrath breast care nurses wherever they're needed, and make breast health understanding a priority.

Pink Stumps Day encourages clubs, businesses, families and friends and schools to show off their cricket skills and raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.

Normal Proserpine Association fixtures will be on one field at the Kelsey Creek cricket ground this Saturday.

A neighbouring field will host a special mixed team match for national Pink Stumps Day.
