Gridlock on M1 after trucks and car collide

TRAFFIC is at a crawl on a northern section of the M1 after two trucks and a car crashed.

Police were called to the southbound lane near the Smith Street exit at Gaven about 9.45am.

It is understood two trucks and a car collided, causing heavy congestion throughout the area.

Traffic is currently moving at a snail's pace from Oxenford down to Molendinar.

Paramedics were not required to attend the accident.
