Missing 16-year-old found following urgent appeal

UPDATE 9.30PM: A 16-year-old girl reported missing from Redbank Plains has been found safe and well. 

INITIAL: Queensland police are appealing for urgent public assistance to help locate 16-year-old Shantel Sheehy.

Shantel was last seen at an address in John Carroll Way, Redbank Plains at 11.30pm last night.

It is believed she left the address by herself and police hold serious concerns for her safety and wellbeing.

Shantel is described as Caucasian, 155 to 160cms tall with a proportionate build, brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair often worn in two buns.

She was last seen wearing black denim hot pants, a beige 'Mossimo' t-shirt and black and white Nike shoes. She is also believed to be carrying a black billabong back pack.

Shantel may attempt to travel to the Bundaberg area.

Anyone who may have seen Shantel, or has any information in relation to her current whereabouts is urged to contact Policelink on 131 444.
