ONE of Queensland's premier resort islands is up for sale for at least $300 million.

The Malaysian owners of Hayman Island, Mulpha, have listed the tourist destination, The Australian reports.

Up to $80m worth of repairs are needed for the resort following damage from Cyclone Debbie earlier this year.

The 160-room resort recently lost its Middle Eastern operator One & Only.

Hayman Island has been offered to potential buyers recently through real estate agent Dan McVay, of McVay Real Estate, sources say.
