Occupants of car refuse medical treatment after hitting cows

PARAMEDICS responded to a single-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway near Proserpine last night.

However, occupants of the car declined Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) transport.

A QAS spokeswoman said its paramedics were called to the crash on the Bruce Hwy 1km south Proserpine at 9.52pm, but "the occupants declined QAS transport".

The spokeswoman said the vehicle reportedly ran into a herd of cows on the highway.

Queensland Police are aware of the incident but were not called to attend the scene.
