Your chance to name a police puppy

Here's your chance to name a police puppy

THE task of naming seven new police puppies has been handed to the public as part of a fundraising campaign to support the families of fallen officers.

Eight springer spaniels - four boys and four girls - were born to drug detection dog Maya just before Christmas.

One of the male pups has already been named Bryson in memory of Detective Inspector Bryson Anderson who was killed on duty in Sydney last December.

Clubs, businesses and families are being asked to bid for the names of the seven others through an online auction.

The names must start with the letter "B" and all funds raised will go towards NSW Police Legacy.

To place a bid, visit the NSW Police Legacy Charity Auction page
