He’s home-grown royalty
AUSTRALIAN hip hop legend Drapht will hit Magnums tonight in one of the biggest shows of the year.
Airlie Beach will welcome Australian hip hop royalty as Drapht travels the country to promote his first new album in five years.
Magnums Hotel venue manager Jarryd Barclay said patrons would want to get in quick to avoid missing out.
"Ticket sales are going well. It's going to be a great show," he said.
With four albums under his belt, Drapht has become one of Australian hip-hop's most iconic artists.
Drapht's last album, The Life Of Riley, received an incredible seven ARIA nominations, and claimed the prize for Best Urban Album. Set to return with his latest album, Seven Mirrors in mid-2016, Drapht has just released the lead single, All Love, which is making waves on Australian radio.
Consistently showcasing his skills as both a talented lyricist and musician, Drapht continues to dominate the local hip hop scene.
Ever since Jimmy Recard hit the top 10 in the 2008 Triple J Hottest 100, it's been as though everything Drapht touched turned to gold.
Along with the likes of Hilltop Hoods and Bliss n Eso, Drapht has been one of the mainstays of Australian hip hop over the last decade and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Although he's been quiet with releasing new music over the last five years, it hasn't stopped him from touring the world and developing his energetic live shows.
