HILARY Duff has got married.

The singer-and-actress tied the knot with hockey player Mike Comrie in a stunning sunset ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, on 14 August in front of 100 guests, according to America's OK magazine.

Hilary - who wore a mermaid-style dress by renowned wedding gown designer Vera Wang - was walked down the aisle by her mother Susan Duff and was accompanied by five bridesmaids, who included her sister Haylie Duff.

The couple - who started dating in 2007 - got engaged in February after Mike, 29, proposed in Hawaii.

Hilary, 22, and Mike met on a trip to a resort in Idaho and have been inseparable ever since.

The sportsman has said of their first meeting: "We were all on the same plane and it was kind of, I guess, maybe a bit of a fluke. She calls it ironic. No I'm kidding! It was one of those things where we were all in a group . we spent the weekend all hanging out."

Speaking of their relationship Hilary has said she couldn't be happier and loved everything about him.

She said: "I've never met anyone who can say a bad word about him. He's generous, caring and sunny. We just laugh our heads off."
