Hockey World Cup win
HOCKEY: Airlie Beach local Scott Reid has returned home after his team won the Hockey World Cup in Canberra earlier this month.
Five other international teams from Malaysia, the USA, New Zealand, Hong Kong and England also competed in the cup.
The final game against England was close with Australia winning 4-3 and scoring the winning goal in the final 30 seconds.
Since achieving his goal of winning the World Cup Scott has added a few others to his list.
"The next world cup is in 2018 in Spain so that's a goal at the moment," he said.
"Other than that there's the national championships this year in Adelaide and I'm in the Queensland team."
