Home trashed, jewellery stolen in daylight robbery

BREAKING: A woman has made an impassioned plea for help after she claims her Toowoomba home was ransacked in broad daylight by thieves.

Glenvale resident Melanie Anne posted photos on Facebook that show the result of a brazen robbery in which thieves stole "high-value" jewellery items and "utterly ransacked and trashed" the home.

The heartbroken homeowner said two large dogs and security screens could not deter the thieves.

"When I got home today there were intruders in my house and fled," she said.

"Every room is the entire house has been ransacked and trashed and so many previous things dear to my heart stolen from me and gone forever.

"To say I am heartbroken and devastated cannot even describe this. Every single room gutted completely."

An appeal has been launched on Facebook to try and get the jewellery returned, which she said were "extremely sentimental".

"I am desperately seeking any help or information about this.

"There is a cash reward offered for any information supplied to me or the police that leads to any of my stolen items being found or someone charged.

"Please help us! This is what they did to my house!"
